OLE ACADEMY FOR BOYS AND GIRLS ONLY SQUAD
In 2011 Olé Academy launched a Talent Development Plan for Football, as part of their developmental strategy. The Plan aimed to provide a sound structure of coaching for the development of elite talent in the Football game.
An integral part of this Plan was the establishment and development of opportunities for elite players aged 8 to 18 years through the Academy.
The purpose of the Olé Academy is to identify male and female players of outstanding ability and place them in a technical, tactical and educational programme that is designed to produce excellent players and well-balanced young people.
At Olé, the Academy is the first part of a wider development programme for male and female players that meet the needs of footballers from 8 years old through to elite open age football.
Trials are held and for those outfield players who are successful chosen have three-weekly coaching sessions from our highly qualified, experienced coaches while goalkeepers receive specific goalkeeping instruction from our specialist goalkeeping coach.
At Olé, each player follows a detailed Technical, Tactical and Physical Programme that is specifically tailored for the eleven different age groups.
Responsibility for the delivery of the programme rests with Centre of Excellence Director Jas Virdee, an UEFA ‘B' Licence coach who is also an FA Coach Educator and an FA Generic Tutor Training Tutor. A highly qualified team of UEFA/FFA staff supports the Director. All staff holds Working With Children Checks and an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check.
