ACADEMY DIRECTOR AND HEAD COACH

Jas Virdee was born and bread in London (UK) and has a vast array of coaching and community development experience with a variety of different age groups. Jas is currently Olé Director and Head Coach and has been coaching here in Australia with Football NSW, the AC Milan Football School and North Sydney Bears. Jas has also worked with the Australian Sports Commission as a Regional Coordinator for the Active After School Communities Program based on the Northern Beaches and has coached at a number of private schools.

Jas Virdee started out as a player, but soon found out his skills and passion for coaching out weighed playing and thus switched to coaching. In 2000 he began coaching and impressed through different coaching levels from community to academy players, squads and teams. Jas has always sought to redefine the role of a coach in football by mixing coaching theory with motivational and psychological needs.

Jas currently holds a Uefa ‘B’ Football (Football) coaching licence alongside a Football (Football) Association Level 1 Tutors/Instructors Licence. He also has over 10 years coaching experience and has coached around the world with clubs such as AC Milan (Italy), Valencia (Spain), Sporting Lisbon (Portugal), Boca Juniors (Argentina), Flamengo (Brazil), Mathare (Kenya), Arsenal, Fulham and Brentford (UK). Alongside his football coaching qualifications, Jas has coaching qualifications in Tennis, Basketball, Cricket and Rugby.
